Transforming a semi-detached house at Braemar Gardens, West Wickham into a stunning, modern family home was an exciting challenge. The project took the dated property and reimagined it with a contemporary twist — adding space, style, and sustainability while staying true to its original character.

Our Solution

  1. A Thoughtful Side Extension
    The addition of a single-story side extension introduced a much-needed ground-floor shower room. Designed with care, it complements the existing architecture rather than overpowering it.
  2. From Garage to Greatness
    The underutilized garage was transformed into a smart storage and utility space, making it an integral part of the home.
  3. A Loft That Works Hard
    By extending the roof from hip to gable and incorporating a rear dormer, we created a spacious, light-filled loft. This new level now boasts a bedroom, a bathroom, and clever storage solutions, proving that the sky’s the limit when it comes to maximizing space.
  4. Sustainability in Action
    Sustainability was a major focus. We installed external insulation, MVHR and air-conditioning to boost energy efficiency, along with an electric vehicle charging point to prepare for a greener future.
  5. Bright Ideas for Better Living
    The flat roof of the rear extension was replaced with a low-pitch design and skylights, flooding the interior with natural light. Every finish and material was chosen to match the home’s original style, creating a cohesive look that feels fresh yet familiar.
  6. Planning and Permissions
    We ensured full compliance with Bromley’s planning guidelines and secured the necessary Planning and Building Control approvals to bring the design to life.
